Øya, day two
Aug. 12th, 2006 10:09 amThe Cramps!
Ohgod that was fun.
I'm told there was a fight in the moshpit, but I didn't even notice. Was too busy moshing. And they played Primitive!
I've waited to see The Cramps live for eighteen years. I don't feel let down, I'm happy and elated and I want to be Poison Ivy.
There were some other bands, right? Yeah.
Adjagas were mostly amazingly boring, except from a few moments when they mixed joik and country-esque elements. Caught some High On Fire at a distance, and it didn't sound half bad. 120 days (no link, awaiting new website, this is the former The Beautiful People and Sex Beat) were pleasant and not especially exciting, overall impression: okay. The Cheaters were energetic and fun. Didn't get more than ten minutes of The Twilight Singers, argh argh argh, because I had to run to the stage where The Cramps were to appear. Didn't bother much with The Fall - I've never been a fan, I'm barely able to remember a few of their songs and I was hungry. Since I've already seen Dumdum Boys this year, I caught a couple of songs before going to see Black Mountain, who were absolutely marvellously brilliant. Album will be bought.
Cheers to
