It's completely beyond me why bigwigs can't have their powwows in the countryside, where they don't clog up a cityful of people trying to get to work. Please book a hotel in the middle of nowhere the next time, like a ski resort in summer. I'm sure the journalists will show up anyway, and just imagine how much easier it will be on your creepy security guys.
