Yes, I'm reading Danny
Feb. 27th, 2006 01:03 pmFor crying out fucking loud.
"Your", not "you're" in this context. "I said no John" is supposed to be "I said no, John". The former means "I said there is not/should not be a person named John", argh argh argh.
1013 pages of slamming my skull repeatedly into the nearest wall over rubbish grammar and punctuation mistakes. I'm halfway through... At least the comma crap is consistent, so I'm getting used to it.
Now that is said, it's a very haunting and disturbing and strangely fascinating story, and there are some gems in there, literature-wise (see Gen Lit BA rear its theory-filled head).
Funny thing is, I'm far more interested in Rab than in Danny. May have something to do with Rab being the only person I think there's some kind of hope for. Fancy that, I'm getting in touch with my inner optimist. Then again, seeing as this story just gets worse and worse and everybody grows more destructive, he may very well be in for some serious nastiness, performed by him or inflicted on him.
